Welcome to the homepage of Sphynx Cattery Zero Pelagio. The name of the cattery means: “no fur, no hair”. We aim not only to breed bald Sphynxes, but cats that are also healthy, socially adapted, having the right type of build and facial structure, and colour. Because we can never know too much about the race, genetics and health, we try to cooperate with other breeders, vets and owners.
I am Kathy Ruyssers, and I am a real cat lover. We used to always have cats around when I was younger, but since my husband is allergic to cats (and other animals), I didn’t think I could ever have a cat on my lap again. Until a friend pointed out the existence of the Sphynx.
I live in rural Westmalle, close to Antwerp (Belgium) with my husband and three kids, and established a cattery because Sphynxes have become my passion and because I feel that if you do something, you better do it well. I also took a first aid course for cats and dogs with Syntra, teacher: veterinary Veerle Renap.
We are member of the Belgian Cat Club.
